Current Cast of Cruzando Caminos Grupo Teatral
Dina Barrionuevo was born in Monterrey, Mexico, and is a teacher of pre-kindergarten at Far Hills Country Day School. She played the role of Pancha in Las mujeres de verdad tienen curvas and muchacha 1, hembra, and lavandera 1 in the zoom production of Yerma.

Feli Blasco was born in Spain. She has a Master’s degree from Montclair State University and teaches Spanish at Drew University and Caldwell University. She has performed in different plays at MSU and Drew. She played the role of Poncia in La casa de Bernarda Alba, Carmen in Las mujeres de verdad tienen curvas, Juan Julián in Ana en el trópico, and the vieja alegre in Yerma in the zoom productions of these two works.

Germán Cardona is a high school and middle school Spanish teacher in Englewood. He graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Spanish Literature from Montclair State University and received his teacher certification in Spanish from Seton Hall University. He played the roles of Pepe el Romano, Juan de Yerma, Leonardo de Bodas de sangre, and the Agente de Aguatourexpress in the first performances of the Cruzando Caminos adaptation of La casa de Bernarda Alba. He also played the role of Santiago in Ana en el trópico, and Juan in Yerma in the zoom productions of these two works.

Beatriz Delgado-Ochoa is a registered nurse from CES University, Colombia, who has dedicated her youth and adult life to learning English. At Montclair State University, she focused her graduate education on reviving her source language, Spanish. She played the role of María Josefa in La casa de Bernarda Alba, the radio caller in Las mujeres de verdad tienen curvas, the introducer of the cast in the zoom production of Ana en el trópico, and lavandera 5 and Juan’s sister in the zoom production of Yerma.

Susana Fernández-Poyatos was born in Spain and has undergraduate degrees in Early Childhood Education and Teaching from the Universidad Complutense de Madrid and in Psychology from the University of Granada. She also has an M.A. degree in Information Technology and Communication in Language Education and Processing from the Universidad Nacional de Educación a Distancia in Spain. She currently teaches Spanish at Livingston High School and Montclair State University and is an AP reader for ETS. She played the role of the feminist in the Cruzando Caminos adaptation of La casa de Bernarda Alba, and the undocumented dreamer in the Cruzando Caminos adaptation of Las mujeres de verdad tienen curvas. She also served as narrator in the zoom productions of Ana en el trópico and Yerma, and technical editor of these two productions.
Andrea Florez was born in Medellín, Colombia. She is self-employed in translation services, is a karaoke fan and loves to sing. She sang the opening and concluding songs in the Cuzando Caminos adaptation of Las mujeres de verdad tienen curvas.
Óscar García was born in Colombia and works for the NYC Department of Social Services, Human Resource Administration. He has performed the songs of Argentine singer Leonardo Favio in different venues. He played the roles of Juan de Yerma, Leonardo de Bodas de sangre, and the Agente de Aguatourexpress in the latter performances of the Cruzando Caminos adaptation of La casa de Bernarda Alba. He also played the role of the radio announcer in Las mujeres de verdad tienen curvas, Cheché in Ana en el trópico, and the macho in Yerma in the zoom productions of these two works.

Luis Alberto Gómez Esmoris was born in Uruguay and holds a degree as an electric technician from the Universidad del trabajo in Uruguay and also an Electric Engineering degree from Union County College. He works for Verizon as a BEM, loves to dance, and is celebrating his acting debut as Santiago in Ana en el trópico.

Aurora Hermo a native of Spain, is a retired teacher of Spanish language and literature, with over thirty years of experience in Kent Place School, Summit High School, and Drew University. She has an M.A. from NYU and a M.Ed. from Columbia University. She played the roles of Prudencia, madre de Bodas de sangre, and criada de Bodas de sangre in the Cruzando Caminos adaptation of La casa de Bernarda Alba. She also played the role of Esperanza in Las mujeres de verdad tienen curvas, and Dolores, cuñada 2, and lavandera 3 in the zoom production of Yerma.
Jenny Hernández was born in Colombia, a country that instilled in her a great love of art, culture, and its customs which she also found in the United States when she arrived here many years ago. From childhood she dreamed of being on the stage. Jenny played the role of Bernarda Alba in La casa de Bernarda Alba, Estela in Las mujeres de verdad tienen curvas, Ofelia in Ana en el trópico and Yerma in Yerma in the zoom productions of these two works.
Maria Kapadia was born in Asturias, Spain and lives in Morristown, NJ. She has an MBA from the College of Saint Elizabeth. She was inspired to take the plunge into acting by her children Sabrina and Julian. She played the role of the criada in La casa de Bernarda Alba, the undocumented mother in the Cruzando Caminos adaptation of Las mujeres de verdad tienen curvas, Palomo in Ana en el trópico, and vieja 1 and lavandera 2 in Yerma in the zoom productions of these two works.
Yeri López was born in El Salvador and currently teaches Spanish at Summit High School. He received his BA in Spanish and Italian from St. Peter’s College and an M.A. in Spanish from Montclair State University. He is pursuing a doctorate of Modern Languages at Middlebury College. He played the role of Víctor in the zoom production of Yerma.

​Julián Omar Morales was born in Newark of Puerto Rican parents. He graduated Magna Cum Laude from Montclair State University with specializations in Spanish Literature and Dance. He has performed in such plays as A Chorus Line, Iphigenia in Aulis, Helen, El juicio de Sancho, In the Heights, and Man of the Mancha. Ana en el trópico is his first play with Cruzando Caminos. He served in the Marine Corps and extends his Semper Fidelis to the US Marines.
Magaly Y. Novoa is originally from Lima, Peru. She holds an M.A. in Spanish with a concentration in Translation and Interpretation from Montclair State University and is currently pursuing an MBA in Marketing from Seton Hall University. She is an experienced Language Specialist now fully engaged in the Translation world as a Localization Project Manager. She played the role of Adela in La casa de Bernarda Alba, Rosalí in Las mujeres de verdad tienen curvas, Conchita in Ana en el trópico, and muchacha 2 and lavandera 4 in Yerma in the zoom productions of these two works.
Liliana Olivares was born in Barranquilla, Colombia. She is an interior designer and also a medical assistant in a doctor’s office. She is a lover of all forms of artistic expression— opera, music, and dance. She played the role of Magdalena in La casa de Bernarda Alba, Ana in Las mujeres de verdad tienen curvas and Marela in the zoom production of Ana en el trópico.
Elizabeth Pérez Diner was born and raised in Venezuela but has resided in the US since 2001. She holds a B.A. in Mass Communication from Universidad Central de Venezuela. She studied translation and interpreting at MSU and NYU. She currently works as a translator and interpreter and is also a mixed-media visual artist. She played the role of Martirio in La casa de Bernarda Alba, and María and lavandera 6 in the zoom production of Yerma.

Luis Guillermo Zea was born in Medellín, Colombia. He moved to this country many years ago to complete his Business Administration education, never imagining that he would wind up with a B.A. in his native language from Montclair State University. He played the role of Lorca in La casa de Bernarda Alba, and Eliades in the zoom production of Ana en el trópico.

Former cast members from the productions of La casa de Bernarda Alba include Noelia Camargo, Melina Campos, Yaima Centeno, Gloria Emperatriz Diez, Soraya González, Vanessa Hernández, Reyther Ortega, Ivonne Reyes, Sarah Serna-Diez, Inma Serrano, and Jorge Luis Valcárcel. Also, Nicole D’Angelo, as piano accompanist, and Joe González and Reyther Ortega as assistants to the director.

Linda Gould Levine was born in New York and fell in love with Spain during her junior year abroad. She is Professor Emerita of Spanish at Montclair State University and received her Ph.D. from Harvard University. She is the founder and director of Cruzando Caminos theater group. Her productions include two live productions and two by zoom. Live productions are adaptations of Federico García Lorca’s La casa de Bernarda Alba and Josefina López’s Las mujeres de verdad tienen curvas. Zoom productions are Nilo Cruz’s Ana en el trópico and Federico García Lorca’s Yerma.

Nora García was born in Medellín, Colombia , and trained as an industrial engineer. She is currently a community leader,
educator, and child caregiver. She is the founder of the Latin American Volunteers Network in New York (REDCOLNY). She serves as a volunteer in Cruzando Caminos Theater Group.
